I saw a clip on reddit about such karen and now that scenario is stuck in my head, new fear unlocked.

What’s the best response for each scenario:

You are:

  1. Undocumented
  2. Legal - Visa
  3. Legal - Permanent Resident
  4. Naturalized Citizen
  5. Citizen at Birth

This is one of the reasons I won’t consider traveling to the US because I think how any of those work out is going to depend on the luck of how others involved are feeling in that moment.

As #5 white looking man: I’d tell her go ahead I’ll wait. Then once they are here, tell ICE she runs an illegal daycare out of here home for illegal aliens’ kids and that she is upset because I called her at the church potluck. Proceed to give them a local megachurch or if not available a white baptist church.

      Then once they are here

They don’t ask questions, so you don’t need to continue. They just drag people away, it seems. They scoop up a dozen kiwis a month, which means your even your non-kiwi pasty-white self gets none of the privilege you’re counting on.

4 and 5 have very different answers depending on race. I’m white, have a Midwestern accent, and was born here. I can look at this person like they’re a moron and ask if they’ve never heard an ohio accent before or what. A Latino born in the same hospital who grew up a town over has to be more diplomatic about explaining that them and their parents were born here.

Similarly a white person naturalized from Australia can be a lot more blase than a brown person naturalized from anywhere.

I’m Chinese American, am naturalized Citizen. Can I pull the “model minority” card? I speak English with no “foreign” accents since I grew up here.

I don’t think theres currently a sterotype of (East) Asian Americans being “criminals”, is there?

That said tho, after Covid, i’m not sure anymore.

I’ve been in a few confrontations in my life.

First rule in any confrontation is to maintain your cool. If you aren’t going to throw the first punch, you want to look like the reasonable one. They are like dogs and can smell fear.

The figure out how to deescalate the situation. Ask her what she wants? Free delivery? A written apology? Yes her to death and walk away.

Having spent time in retail, yesing her to death is a legit strategy. You don’t have to agree with her for real, it’s like dealing with a toddler pitching a fit. They are primed for screaming and confrontation and don’t really know how to deal with someone who refuses to ‘play their part’ in the drama. Takes the wind out of their sails and leaves them confused, which is the perfect time to escape.

anyone who threatens me will receive it in turn.

you’re gonna call ICE on me? better hope they get to me before I get to you, because there won’t be any hope for you and your family if they don’t.

With the blatant disregard for the rule of law this administration has already shown, it may not matter what number you fall under. A lot of it, very sadly, seems to be dependent on what you look like.

If you’re 1 through 3, why are you picking a fight with a Karen? Get out before it escalates. And if it does, keep your head down and hope for the best. Or move cities, especially if you’re #1. 4’s and 5’s may want to have proof of citizenship accessible. Keep a picture of your birth/naturalization certificate and/or passport on your phone, preferably behind a password like in a password vault app - don’t just keep it in your camera roll, it needs encrypting.

It’s also worthwhile keeping in mind that some Karens’ bark is worse than their bite. They may have gotten off on the threat enough to not go thru with it.

My family already did that, we left mainland China, because PRC was fucked economically and employment was high, very difficult to find a job, and jobs were very shit, and no labor protections. (and also the government sucked, corrupt af)

Then we ended up in the US a decade ago (well, more than a decade ago)

      So um…

      Lol…

Left a dictatorship just to end up in another dictatorship 🙃. (Despite this, I still hate that place, there’s no fucking way I wanna go back to that hell, too much toxic masculinity and anti-LGBT sentiments, and ableism in society, besides, my primary language is English and there’s no way in hell I’d wanna learn written Chinese, jesus christ that shit’s hard, I’m practically illiterate there, so much media is censored, I don’t like it.)

AFAIK, EU isn’t gonna take asylum cases seriously. I’m cis and not LGBT btw, so I have no legitimate asylum claims.

      🤷‍♂️

    1. Find out who she is. Get her license plate. Take her picture. This person is a threat and your community needs to be aware of her.

I don’t condone violence normally for any reason, but anyone who does this to anyone clearly deserves a wooden board to the face.

The prisons are full of people who thought their violence was justified.

Use some logic. Cops aren’t going to search that hard for someone who might be an illegal. They are going to look long and hard for someone who assaulted an old woman.

It’s like you didn’t bother to read the article you posted.

The police attacked the woman. They don’t like it when you usurp their privilege.

They are going to look long and hard for someone who assaulted an old woman.

That is laughable, and the article i linked provides context to my position. Now, if you had clarified by saying the cops would look long and hard for someone that assaulted a “well known” or “wealthy” old woman, I’d have no notes. I believe you understand the difference.

I mean, you are kinda right here, and I admit that my answer was mostly emotional.

I’m not saying I would do that, nor am I suggesting others should. Just that for the sake of cosmic balance, it is deserved.

What an amazing projection & nobody deserves to go jail by pandering to a deranged low-life like you.

I’ll add that too. Go be the violent vigilante all by yourself.
