klemptor@startrek.websiteto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do some people say "I wouldn't want a government to dictate what I eat"? This would mean they'd be against food safety regulations, would it not? Context was the idea of a government banning meat2·1 month agoAlso lab-grown meat. If we could replace meat from animals with meat grown in a lab, I think a lot of meat-eaters would make the switch. Currently lab-grown is pretty expensive from what I understand, but over time it should get cheaper as the technology becomes more widespread.

And those people who have graduated are probably trying to get jobs right now. Have you seen the current job market? It’s fucking insane. I don’t know that it’ll be any better in 7 months but I wouldn’t want to be looking for a job right now. Enjoy your reprieve.
Animé from ages 15-18. It was the mid-to-late '90s and only the weird kids were into animé. My social life improved immensely when I grew out of that phase.
Regularly? Yes. A one-off? Not the biggest sin.
- Watching the blue jays at my bird feeder & birdbath
- My first sip of tea in the morning
- '60s music
- Dogs and cats
- Also horses - I moved to an area with a lot of horse farms and, from my second floor windows, sometimes I can see a horse or two hanging out in a paddock a couple of hills away
- Fun new makeup (one of my most recent new palettes is this:)

“Ah you know, same old.”
I’m curious how that works for health insurance and saving for retirement. Presumably van dwelling requires some amount of working to fund food, gas, and repairs. So I’m guessing Obamacare or maybe Medicaid for health insurance if your income is low enough. But how does planning for the future work?
Are you the same young German dude who has made similar posts to this under alts a bunch of times already? I feel like I started seeing these months ago.
