Excluding OC communities, right? Like you’re not discounting people who put a lot of time and effort into their photography? Or even if they’re not great photographers sharing pictures of their plants and gardens and hobbies, and pets, should have the same allowances as text only posts

tpyo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What task would you excel in if you lived in the Stone Age?1·4 months agoThat was fascinating thank you! I watched the whole thing. There’s a ton of work those people put into making their iron. Truly a community effort
Pixel 7a here, I had it on mine and uninstalled from a link to the play store in another comment
tpyo@lemmy.worldto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•I mean, that's literally the opposite of what I wantEnglish31·7 months agoThis was my result:
I went to my family Christmas with my then-partner. I got a Grinch onesie from my family
We then attended my partner’s family Christmas where basically the entire living room was stuffed with presents for the kids (my partner and their siblings). My then-partner complained about how the siblings all got more $$ worth of presents. I pointed out that I got a pair of pjs for Christmas. The reply: “it’s not about the dollar amount, it’s just they got more than me” (paraphrased)
I hated that present. A fucking onesie? It was such a disappointing present, and for a long time I used it as an example for questions just like this
I kept it and wore it. Eventually I lost the bitterness and started to cherish it even. Which is why I still wear it regularly this time of year! It’s quite warm… plus, it has pockets!

tpyo@lemmy.worldto Virtual Reality@lemmy.world•Shiftall FlipVR initial impressionsEnglish2·8 months agoI’ve never heard of these before, but watching a video on them blew my mind! What an awesome concept. I’ll definitely be keeping tabs on these and the company
Thank you for the write up!
I’m not familiar with M.A.S.H. (though I know of the show) to know that song. So I read it to myself to the tune of this beaut
tpyo@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How would I find my phone if I didn't have a phone to find my phone with?91·11 months agoSo, anyone with an android can let you use theirs and the “find device” app in guest mode. Your info won’t be saved but that option is there for exactly your use case
tpyo@lemmy.worldto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•This is $87 worth of shopping. Please feel free to use the space below to critique my purchasesEnglish1·1 year agoI can shop at Costco for my family of two. There are a lot of bulk items that don’t make sense for me to buy, but non-perishables and especially any electronics or big (for me) money items I try to buy from them
I just say that because I hear a lot of people hesitant to shop there with the reason they won’t be able to finish everything before it goes bad. But they sell a lot of household items and the lifetime guarantee is worth the membership cost by itself
Also if you’re an executive member you can add someone else for free! They don’t even have to be in your household. I added a friend in need so they could get some necessities
The 2nd image, to me, seems to show that green has a wider amount of emitted green light:

Huh. I guess I thought rhinos were bigger. Well I bet one could take on a pygmy hippo!

tpyo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As badly described as possible, what is your favorite video game?1·2 years agoHaha, hey! this interaction made me laugh from the start so I just had to add this update
I don’t mind and I’m not asking you to edit it any further; I just find it endearing. Lemmy and the apps (I started on wefwef/vger), along with the fediverse, are all a growing and evolving entity and it’s fascinating being along for the ride
tpyo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As badly described as possible, what is your favorite video game?2·2 years agoThank you for that, never heard it before! I love nick swardson and he does play a “type,” but I find his stand up is all across the board and really appeals to a different audience
tpyo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As badly described as possible, what is your favorite video game?1·2 years agofor Rock and Stone!
tpyo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As badly described as possible, what is your favorite video game?4·2 years agoA little too well
tpyo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As badly described as possible, what is your favorite video game?2·2 years agoHah so I just had to double check I indeed wasn’t living under a rock and they’d gotten up to ten
But I did find out they released a game last year! So indeed, I am living under a rock :(
tpyo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As badly described as possible, what is your favorite video game?4·2 years agoI need to actually finish those games. They’re incredible
I lost my enjoyment of gaming, but thinking about playing through the half life anthology is actually making me excited… Gunna get started this weekend, thanks!
tpyo@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As badly described as possible, what is your favorite video game?1·2 years agoThat’s what popped into my mind
I appreciate this!
Generally oc forward subs are very stringent about it truly being OC and if caught posting something that isn’t theirs will face consequences
Blurry pics of a cat’s right up on the lens is low effort. Any pictures you see posted in a place like https://lemmy.world/c/astrophotography will not be low effort because those are removed. They also require the submissions to be OC
