Yes, you can! See the “threshold” value/slider. It’s at 0.7 by default, which seems to be a good tradeoff. 1 means exact match or failure, 0 will afaik match anything to everything.
Ah, I didn’t see the Edit, so we’re both in the same boat 😂

Finally got this through another comment below. No, this should not be able to happen, unless you yourself have created a custom intent + shell script action in home assistant that runs this. The integration itself does not execute actions/scripts or the like, it just finds the closest string in a list of strings, and then hands that to the official conversation agent/Hassil.

…do you think I’m a bot, or what is this?
Edit: ohh, that’s what the original comment was. Sorry. “lange leitung” today.

Please do! And if it does drive her crazy, please do open a bug report 😄

Yes, should be completely language agnostic. I’m not a linguist though, so take with a grain of salt 😅
There’s nothing language specific going on though, apart from a slight preference to split slots on word boundaries determined by spaces. So, might work a bit worse in e.g. Japanese.

❌ Sorry, I couldn’t understand that

Ahhh got it 😄 Yeah, I get/got similar stuff with Alexa. Honestly, the STT there is pretty impressive(ly fast), but sometimes it’s incredible nonsense.

I mean, you still need to activate the assistant with your usual wakeword. This/Hassil isn’t really intended to be constantly listening.
Or am I misunderstanding the question? 😅

This is the one true answer.
Just an IP, nothing else. And easily curlable.

Not arguing that. Of course there’s worse things.
But you must also acknowledge that it’s trivial to make this a non-issue. For example, I’ve seen lots of places where the door opens outwards with a kick. Or, even better (if slightly less space efficient) just have no door at all, and instead a short entrance with two 90 degree turns.
I think this is something that more and more places do anyways, basically any modern-ish place I’ve been to in recent years do the no-door-thing.

So? Like a their to half of people (sorry don’t remember the stat, just remember being shocked how high it was) do not wash their hands after using public toilets.
Why would I want to touch that doorhandle.

Definitely, yeah

Oh god yes
German?

Over the years, we’ve made a lot of Dashboards. In the most recent iteration, I’ve been using the popular Rounded theme, plus some customizations.
I’ve also tried to get rid of as many elements as possible. 90% of entities I just do not need to see on a daily basis, or only in certain specific situations, so I’m trying to automate that (i.e. only show what I’m actually interested in).

Wow, that looks super nice! Great job!

OK, so what you want is for other people to volunteer their time and money to keep an instance running. That, by itself, is honestly fine, and many people are happy to do so.
But you then also do not want to play by their rules. That part is not fine.

Just host your own instance.
Others are luckily always free to block you, but you do not need to worry about losing your account.
There is not really any downside to hosting your own instance either, thanks to federation, you get to participate in the wider Lemmy community as an equal member.
Awesome!! And thanks for actually letting me know! :D
