I’ve been on Mastodon for a few years, and unfortunately all of this stuff is pretty common. It varies with the trending tragedy of the moment, but it’s all the same. Gaza, some African country, LGBT+ people, and so on.

It’s impossible for me to tell which one is legit and which one is a scam, so I took the decision not to boost or spread anything like that. It’s unfair, but unknowingly boosting a scam and having someone else falling for it would be even more damaging to their causes, in my opinion.

I think some of the text used stolen might be from fanfiction, which is where I saw em dashes used to death throughout the years before LLMs became a thing.

The badly-drawn hands thing is frustrating because any artist can tell you it’s not so easy to draw realistic/accurate hands. So, sometimes you might see genuine art with “weird” hands, and it’s painful for the artist to be accused of using AI.

Oh I noticed this yesterday or earlier today, and I was wondering if I was the only one seeing this bug.

Hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

The only major allergy I have, I developed very randomly one night in my teens. I was hanging out with friends, I always loved cats, and they had this adorable cat that got super sweet with me. Next thing I know, my eyes are almost swollen shut. I’ve never been able to touch cats again.

So you could become a cannibal with no problems, then?

I have no hope of ever having a normal relationship with them. I avoid talking about myself, my thoughts and feelings, and just nod and bite my tongue. The world won’t change if I make them see the truth, so I’m not going to bother trying, just to bring more issues between us and risk being alienated even further.
