Ideally, you need at least some basic understanding to use the vast majority of languages. The problem isn’t even writing the code itself, you can definitely just memorize the keywords and some basic concepts and have at it. If you ask me, the real issue is the availability, amount and overall quality of documentation and learning material if you go about it that way.

I have a few coworkers who skipped the learning English part and learned most everything from other non native speakers and they tend to be crippled by often not really being able to make use of official documentation or keep up with new things, since the vast majority of content out there is in English. It also has the unfortunate side effect of pushing them to stick with whatever it is they learned way back when and not really looking for better ways of getting things done.

So basically, you can pull it off without knowing English but it’s going to be suboptimal and/or painful IMO.

Good points overall! I’d add that in my opinion “estaremos enviando” is closer to “we will be sending”, which also better conveys the odd, misplaced telemarketer politeness vibes it carries.

I don’t mess with Lego nearly as much these days but yup, I used to lol. Same for grooves on technic pieces and whatnot, everything must be neat and symmetrical!

I haven’t really used Twitter much but Mastodon does allow you to follow tags, which is basically what you have in mind

Ah, my bad. I’m so used to it all that I can’t help but spit out jargon with no context sometimes 😅

I’m referring to apps like Sonarr, which basically keeps an eye on torrent/usenet providers and downloads episodes for you automatically. So you tell it you want some show, optionally set the quality you want it at, and it takes care of everything so that the episodes just show up on Jellyfin/Plex after they air and it grabs them. There’s also Radarr for movies and a whole bunch of related ones.

Add the *arr apps into the mix and you get super low effort pirating, legit changed my life when I set it all up lol

Have fun! It’s a lot better these days but if you struggle with native HA automations, give Node-RED and its HA integration a look.

I’m not the pirate I once was when it comes to gaming but there’s always EGS exclusives, games whose lack of regional pricing make them impossible to reasonably buy here, things like that. I’m a patient gamer for the most part so most of the time I can just get it a few years down the line but sometimes even that doesn’t cut it. I avoid doing it to indie developers, but those are usually the few that follow Steam’s recommended pricing guidelines so they tend to be fine anyway.
I pirate unbelievable amounts of tv and movies on a regular basis though through the *arr apps and whatnot, mostly because I refuse to pay for a dozen different streaming services with their rotating content and usually terrible apps. I self host whatever I can to avoid relying on the whims of a few corporations, and the one surviving service so far is Spotify.

Pretty sure you meant cap in place of cape, right? I’ll say that does sound pretty badass though!

Videogames are a huge part of my life, so my dreams often feature them. I have a very vivid memory of “playing” some character in a side scrolling platform my dreams cooked up and it having what my dream self registered as actually pretty believable physics haha. I’m often conscious too, so I tend to notice things like that.
