I think humans are not really more intelligent than most beings; we have a unique ability to manipulate physical things, but most animals are not crazy enough to follow and do that because our species pays a very high price for that in happiness.
It’s that sacrifice we all individually made to be like most other humans, as babies, that make us think our way is superior and look down on other animals.
I agree, there are a few sequels I liked on their own merits. But the majority of the ones are just as you said.
That said, I have a weakness for space ship drama. Can’t be too much of that. So some sequels really don’t need much of a plot, rhyme or reason. I’ll spend my money on them.
While you are correct, NASA cannot send people to high earth orbit without endangering the astronauts. The crewed missions are dead in the water, but many do not realize this.
This situation exists because while NASA has increasingly severe political issues; the organization still has enough integrity to scrub the missions each time they are close to launch.
Other countries and private companies can later send astronauts safely. Nasa will require changes in American politics, that are not realistic, before they can get new ships and goals
They once barely acknowledged it, and asked several perpetrators about how they felt about unrelated things?
I think they covered the subject in a fair and balanced reporting
I feel like there are not any good and effective leaders or movements. At least not nationally
Many states have elections that do not allow recounts, using hidden methods to count, and flunk the same fraud checks used pretty in other counties reliably.

So…. I am going to express my opinion that Trumpism is merely the latest, not so different, expression of American capitalism that has always been this nasty and poisonous. And this includes the raids and round ups currently in the news.
There are some things that changed: the targets and oppressed have changed for some. The messaging has changed.
It’s a fad. This will fade soon enough, and things will still be bad. The good guys will be elected and clean up some of the stuff, but most of what they do will be ineffective. And then the next bad guy will come to power

Any technology after coming down from the trees is bad and should be avoided. However, survival depends on increasing usage of tech stacks.
It was out of control 3 million years ago and is certainly disaster now. Exponentially growing worse.
Similar for me, but the stress of it all helps burn calories, the fear like a little boost to the exercise. Poor joke.

Crowd funding cannot exert influence. It is not corrupt, does not own slave factories or stifle tens of thousands with unethical behavior.
English removed too many nice things, all in the name of standardization and printing efficiency.
What’s stopping a sustained, constructive public inquiry into these parallels between past cover-ups and current information control?
There is no mechanism to promote the investigation. At best there will be queries like you made for the general, and social media reactions to specific events as they unfold.
A large chunk of government, politics, and press in the USA no longer exists. There are no authorities to turn too, now or later, regardless who gains power in Washington.
Most of the Anglosphere outside the USA is in a free fall too, a few years behind, maybe 20 years.
It gives one month of bad luck for each time used. If the power is activated to help others without benefit for yourself, then it’s sloppy good luck instead. You are fortunate in a tragic way.

AI does not have a foothold in my area, because it still takes far more time to understand what it did, and debug it. Faster to just do it ourselves.
However, there are some programming jobs where people can use what it makes without checking much, or understanding what it does. And while this probably has some cost to pay down the line, if it gets the job done today, then everyone wins.
I know some freelancers, and small shops, that make a lot of money untangling the code made by the above.
