fiction: the lord of the rings cycle and watership down

non-fiction: a paradise built in hell by rebecca solnit

i personally believe that employee ownership of business with community oversight is the most reasonable way forward. it would be much more democratic than the economic autocracy most workers currently live under and communities affected by business decisions would have a say.

this. i remember a few years ago i was somewhere that folks had put on the macy’s t-day parade. it was the first time i’d really noticed the intensity of the propaganda. most of the themes and music were just about acquiring material things and how good and normal that is. the propaganda was so strong it made me viscerally uncomfortable to watch.

i’ll keep that in mind. thanks for the info!

thanks so much for the kind words!

that sounds really rough to grow up with and live with for so long. i think I have some sort of mental processing issues. my partner will try to explain something she wants help with and will often have to draw me a picture or take me to the space she’s talking about so i can understand what she’s talking about.

this might be the way to go for now until things get more stable. i didn’t know that was an option, but i’m gonna look into it!

honestly, i suspect add, but who knows? i sorta suspect my mental health issues are legion so anything is possible. glad they could help you out either way!

thank you for the info and the link! i’ll look it over and talk with my partner about it.

thank you for the words of caution. that gives me a good idea of what to aim for.
