I can attest that USPS includes insurance up to $100 and making a claim is easy. UPS is a for-profit company though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if getting them to pay out is more difficult.

Otherwise, I have a friend that worked for a sort of agency that hires a bunch of juniors, does some light training, then contracts them out to other companies. You do that for 6 - 12 months then convert into a full-time position directly with the company you were contracting for. Not glamorous, but it’s an option and can lead to good outcomes. It worked out well for my friend.

PWAs are cool af and widely used for publishing apps on the App/Play stores. It’s a shame they haven’t been adopted more widely for their original purpose of installing apps outside of those stores, but you can’t get everything you want.
