I just got into a habit. I listen to the same few playlists, sit with my coffee in the same chair, keep distractions away from me (out of arm’s reach) and I write. It was hard to keep up for a while at first, but now it’s not so hard even on ‘off days’. Usually, I just turn those into revision days. I also take breaks so I don’t burn out, toooooooo hard.
I would get into fanfiction, both reading and writing. Places like Ao3 are so batshit insane, that they sort of force you to recalibrate creativity for yourself.
Just write for fun, don’t carry any baggage about turning it into something serious or long term. You’ll randomly get feedback to improve (some good and some bad) and soon you’ll recognize what you value in feedback and what you don’t.
You’ll also start recognizing stories that you like and that you don’t like. Use those moments as opportunities to really sit and figure out why you like and don’t like those stories. Imagine how you would improve them or write them differently.
Eventually, you’ll find that you have your own ideas, your own voice, and opinions on what makes a piece good or bad.
I think it’s just because the answer doesn’t really contribute much. OP is asking about something specific (and kinda interesting, too!) and your response was “I don’t know, I don’t use that software”. It doesn’t really add to the conversation or help to answer the question.
Imagine if every question that got asked was responded to by the entire community, even if they had no answer, and every thread was just filled with “I dunno”.

Not to poke extra fun, but they even give examples to better visualize it. 😅 I have to think this post is just a bit of trolling anyway, though.

Holy shit, I was just wondering how to vent about this shit. I vow that I will NEVER drink that dumbass drink ever again. This type of advertising gives me a personal grudge that, god forbid I ever have children, I will pass down through my fucking bloodline.
Yeah, honestly, companies that aren’t publicly traded and just do their own thing tend to be fine to okay-ish. I like Valve. Their software works for me, they were fine to work with, and I like some of the projects they’ve helped advance.
I hesitate to say that they ‘get a free pass’. I don’t think any company should get that unless they like… cured aging and gave it away for free or something, but for the time being, they’re decent.
I’d also suggest the folks at GoG are pretty good, too.

How does Zen handle blocking adds? I peeked at them but didn’t see anything like uBlock in the mod list. No proton mods there either, which is a tough sell for me.
Usability looks awesome though. I’m tempted for that alone.
Edit: I just realized it’s a fork like WaterFox so it will just work. I did also learn there are some weird check ins with Google on that browser though, so maybe not the more security focused browser I’m looking for.
I don’t know that I agree with this. I’ve used the term ‘lizard brain’ a lot, but I had no idea it was rooted in this study. I just assumed it meant a more primitive train of thought, particularly one in a state of panic. It’s obviously important to dispel misconceptions if you have them, but I don’t think saying ‘a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush’ is going to irreparably alter someone’s idea of economics just because the value of birds doesn’t literally match the metaphor.
Question for the smarter/more experienced people than me, would a hardware key help with this sort of thing? I know they’re not available everywhere and you essentially need two (or like a safe with your backup password), but I’m curious if those are just like… better.
