That’s a lot of emails to handle. Well, I guess not really, seeing as you discard them. What do you tell the admin when you give a reason to join on a new account? Do you just tell them the truth?

I don’t know how to word that in a way that doesn’t seem like I’m being sneaky, but I’m just wondering since it seems like it’s not really done in bad faith. It kind of feels like multiple accounts is encouraged if one of the purposes for decentralizing is anonymity, in a certain sense. Separate the forum into multiple pieces so the downfall of one part of it doesn’t spell doom for the rest. Cut off the infected limb, so to speak.

I definitely have to look up everything you said in your comment. I’m not trying to “run” accounts. I just want to participate in discussions regarding my hobbies.

I’m new to this. I’m still learning what all this means, but I figured if I have to put a little more effort to participate on this, then it’s probably safer. I don’t know exactly what “decentralized” means, but the little I know makes it seem like it’s built for the long run, or at least with user safety in mind.

It looks a little tedious, but it seems I can access other instances (I guess they’d be like Discord servers) even if I didn’t sign up with them.
