If you’re using HAOS (ie not running in docker), there is an official add-on called “File Editor” that allows you to edit the config.yaml and upload files from the UI. It’s not perfect but gets the job done.
HA has a “www” folder that by default that is accessible to the network. Anything in /config/www appears at http://yourhassaddress:8123/local, so your images will be at http://homeassistant.local:8123/local/image.jpg

The American system is far from ideal but I’m convinced 90% of social media posts decrying a “lack of choice” or “monoparty” are cynical actors trying to make pro-democracy voters feel hopeless. I remember in 2019 all of the “The DNC installed Biden” language was all over Reddit.
I’ve never seen someone just blatantly lie about primaries not existing anymore though!
Thanks for the explainer, that last point is really great actually and I’m surprised that Amazon/Google etc are pushing for Matter if the data isn’t sent to the internet.
