I mean, all that are privately owned. A system that puts profit above all else will never have any corporation that acts ethically and in the interest of society.
But I also wanna mention, Nestlé isn’t a particularly evil corporation. It’s just the only food corporation where we know these things they’ve been up to but you can be damn sure the others aren’t any better.

That’s the solution I used in the end too. It was for my parents TV, which is a smart TV with an OS that just sucks. I have a server with Jellyfin and every time they wanted to open that, they had to navigate to the app store, open that, open “Web App Tester” and then click the link for Jellyfin. The TV was also really slow in general, it always took like half a minute to connect to our WiFi after turning on and it randomly started to flicker. Then I found the Xiaomi TV Box, which comes with a bluetooth remote and can be hooked up to a TV over HDMI. It runs Google TV, which is just the new name for Android TV, so it has Jellyfin as an app and all the other issues were fixed as well. I know that still sucks privacy wise but my parents don’t care about that and they just wanted something that works. We also wanted to replace the smart TV with a dumb TV at first but all the dumb TVs we could find were a lot smaller and only 1080p instead of 4k, so we just disconnected the smart TV from our WiFi. This new setup is an improvement in every way and we can replace the TV itself and the Xiaomi TV Box independently if we ever need to.

I’m currently trying to quit that too. It’s harder than I expected. I’m not severly addicted or anything but I’ve recently learned a lot about why porn is bad and why we should stop consuming it. The two aspects to it are basically the exploitation of the industry and the effects that watching it has on the viewer. If anyone’s interested, I can also go into more detail on that. For the first reason it would be enough to watch porn that’s not made using real people, like hentai but the second reason is why we should stop it entirely. It’s just that I grew up with phones and the internet, so I’ve jacked off to porn since I was 11 and it’s kinda hard to jack off without it because that’s where my mind goes automatically. I should be able to just do it without having to watch anything but I end up just not doing it at all. I don’t know if there’s any advice or something that could help me there.

On one hand, his entire ideology and what he said he wants to do was extremely hateful and even someone who didn’t think further into it should have seen that. They voted for him for at least that, deporting immigrants and all that. On the other hand, the rise of fascism is a sytemic issue caused by capitalism. It happens every time the economy isn’t doing well, that’s why people suddenly started voting for the NSDAP (Hitler’s party) too. We’re supposed to just write down our favorite party (that we select based on random information we’ve seen on social media once or who looks the coolest) on a piece of paper every few years, so we feel like we’re participating and we can spend the rest of our time working for the rich and consuming their products. We’re not supposed to actually take part in how our country is run. We don’t have any say in the economy anyway, that’s decided by people who just so happened to get rich and the people we elect to act in our interest just get bought out by the rich too.
I don’t remember my dreams very well in general, so I don’t remember hearing sound in them either but I’m pretty sure I can hear sound. Somehow I’m able to talk with people in my dreams, after all. When it comes to smell, I have no idea, I don’t remember smelling anything in my dreams at all.
I think hearing and smell might just be things we simply don’t remember well from dreams. We get the vast majority of information from what we see, so that’s the first thing we’d remember. The only times I remember feeling something in dreams is when I got stabbed with needles, shot and that one time I dreamed that I smoked when I was a kid (even though I’ve never done that before). The reason I remember those is just that they left an impression of some sort. With hearing or smell, I think it just doesn’t leave an impression or is special in any way, so we simply don’t remember it.
