I do agree the performance seems a tad bit disappointing and you are right, we should all manage our expectations regarding standalone.
As shown in the second video, foveated rendering (not streaming) does show some promise however. If only developers were able to easily implement it, and were pushed to do so. The performance gains seem huge.
I do think tho that the better usage for the Frame is going to be flat screen games in standalone, and wireless PCVR for VR. At least it should be good quality wireless VR with their tech.
