He’s coaching you on your mindset, not claiming you’re physically preventing something.

triggers something… urgent.
Sir, that’s why I’m drinking the coffee.

We all act differently around different people
You’ve just internalized the problem and called it normal. You shouldn’t need to be different around different people. That’s exhausting and most people don’t do that. That’s the neurodivergent coping mechanism.

That’s just another mask.
Your real self is the you when you’re not trying to be something else. You have to feel safe and be calm and then that’s you. You could possibly alter it with effort, but not as easily as a mask.

Not sure what meds you tried, but it sounds like simulants. I have had more luck with the non simulants like Wellbutrin. It doesn’t increase my anxiety, but it does help lower the bar to doing things I don’t want to do.
It’s not magic, but it’s not nothing.
It’s not that I can’t drink anymore. I just got too good at it and it’s not fair to the other drunks.

I love this.
Have you considered using Bluetooth or NFT sensors and trackers in the collar to keep tabs on them?
I was thinking of setting up something like that so my home knows where I am and can act accordingly, but I don’t know where to start.
Betterhelp was garbage. Tried it for a bit. Waste of time. They have a pool of not-therapists doing back to back not-therapy sessions with lots of people. It’s a sweat shop for social workers or something.
MAYBE it’s better than literally nothing. But not by much.
Wellbutrin. I’m level. Just seems… Normal
I think I’m confused then. I’m definitely accessing HACS and it’s definitely a docker container on Ubuntu (I know, I know).
How do I know that in running?
Semi related and I don’t want to start a whole new thread.
Why use HAOS over normal HA core in a container? I’ve been using a simple docker container and I’m not sure what I’m missing.

You’re not discussing ADHD. You’re discussing anxiety induced reluctance to follow medical protocol.
Many therapists avoid discussing ADHD as a way to avoid people seeking stimulants. It’s a cop out, but maybe it’s necessary wherever you live.
But no, I don’t get anxious about my meds, but I’m not on stimulants. Those made me MORE anxious than the ADHD alone.
Insomnia is not failure. It’s restful if you’re lying there with your eyes closed. If you can internalize that, the stress will reduce.
I listen to shows on headphones to help. I can keep my eyes closed and it’s boring enough to lull me to sleep.

Move the alarm ten feet from your bed. Once you’re up, stay up.

This is why I switched off stimulant meds. Too much up and down, even with the XR.

“anything worth doing is worth doing well poorly”
B vitamins. You might be burning through them (That’s obviously not the scientific explanation)
Absolutely. Why would you?
If I got paid $10 and my coworker got $20 for the same job, I’m doing half the work. That’s just math 🤷♂️
It’s only worth it if you think it is. Expats are exploited because they’re a vulnerable class.
He can’t be you because I’m him.
