18 tabs on my laptop across 4 virtual desktops

My job is a data analyst, working on genetic cancer research. Now sadly, I don’t have a direct answer to your question, but I do know a few things about cancer.
For the most part, cancer is not contagious. There is an exception, and it’s a sexually transmitted cancer for dogs known as CTVS. Some poor dog developed cancer 11,000 years ago, and the cancer cells mutated enough that they became essentially an asexual, single-celled organism. I point this out as a factor as to why it’s not contagious for almost all cancers: and that’s because cancer cells need their host. The danger from cancer is caused by mutant cells that have lost their apoptosis signal and begin reproducing uncontrollably, not that we have a bunch of invincible cells floating in our body.
Some cancers like lung cancer develop as tumors, while others like leukemia are circulating. Lung cancer probably won’t aerosolize, but even if it did, the cells need to survive for long enough to reach a new host. To reach a new host circulating cancers like Leukemia would need to be ingested and then survive the digestive system.

Yes, absolutely. You’re asking about becoming an activist

Most bots are required to be identified as such on most instances, so unmarked bots should get reported. Some communities, such as news comms, use bots to post articles from an RSS feed as soon as they’re published. But otherwise no, I wouldn’t say that there’s a bot problem

There’s also our very own community here on lemmy, !CoMaps@sopuli.xyz

No, the detour took me off of a quiet highway on a flat stretch of road. I took a return trip on the same highway less than an hour later, and there was no backup to speak of

I’m jumping ship for comaps, it’s FOSS, no data collection, uses Wikipedia for location descriptions, has an offline mode, and doesn’t do weird shit like divert you from a highway to drive on gravel roads to circumvent a perfectly fine 5 mile stretch of highway

Allow me to introduce you to Kill Sticky Headers

Oof, good luck. I can send you info about the ADA if you think it would help

Yea, I’ve been thinking about when it could have happened, and I still can’t figure it out. I probably tore it and didn’t know. However, I’ve had a minor knee pain for a couple weeks and the pain just started ramping up a few days ago

Tbh I forgot about rideshare, because I don’t use them. I refuse to feed those tech companies.

Seems to be deflock.org

Another victim of big Small

Every tattoo parlor not owned directly by the artists are basically staffed by contractors. They pay the studio for their space and equipment, which means the cost of the tattoo has to somewhat cover these expenses.
They may be paid better overall, but their working conditions are pretty lousy. McDonald’s might fire a worker trying to unionize, but they do at least have the right to organize. Tattoo artists are completely excluded from the NLRA, they have no labor protections at all.

I refuse to participate in tip inflation. I tip 15% to all service employees. The only exception for me is tattoo artists, which get 25%

I’d say Michael Parenti

Because at the time they were made of silver
It’s a masterlock though, you can pick it by lightly touching the keyhole with a blade of grass
