I’ve found that it gives hope to those who hate the direction the nation is going, but feel isolated. We are not a tiny minority, and we need to act like it.

If the old paint isn’t peeling, new paint on top won’t damage it. HOWEVER, the new paint might not adhere well to the old stuff, and peel off in a year or two. In my opinion, best practice is to scrape any loose paint off, and sand the edges of the painted areas smooth. Prime the areas to be painted (it will help new paint adhere to old), then finally paint the areas with new paint.

Lots of villages in NH, although I don’t think it’s a legal term. For example, Wakefield NH residents seem to refuse to accept that they have a town. They refer to the legal township as “the villages of Wakefield”, and when asked their residency, will say “I live in the village of Union” (or Sanbornville, etc.) also, there is the village of Milton Mills in the town of Milton, and Gonic in Rochester.
