61·2 years agoI made a purchase on a sketchy site (during Covid when things were hard to find). A day or so later, some unauthorized transactions were made on my card. “Bank” called from actual number of my bank, to verify if I actually made the transactions. provided some of my personal information, transaction amount etc then asked to verify ssn. It was very convincing.
Luckily I refused because I know anyone can call you claiming to be any number, and I didn’t give out any info, and said I would call back that number (my bank).
Bank had no knowledge of a call.
15 minutes later, get real fraud department call from my bank. They just wanted to know if it was fraud or not and didn’t ask for any other info.
Moral of the story: if someone calls you, never give out personal info. Tell them you will call back if needed.

That’s because only a Boolean flag changes when deleted by user. Comment content stays.

Voyager@lemmy.world•Voyager not persisting settings changesEnglish
0·2 years agoThat’s weird. How much free space do you have on your device?
edit: Oh and iOS/Android version? And using native app or PWA?
It’s not currently a feature, but it would be pretty easy to add!
As always please open issues on GitHub otherwise I will forget.

1·2 years agoIts not a matter of stick, it’s a matter of convenience. It takes too long to get to temperature when I just need one egg.

11·2 years agoCheap nonstick flakes nasty teflon chemicals into your food.
All Teflon coatings will degrade if abused. Getting expensive nonstick just makes you want to use it longer than you should (sunk cost), and abuse it because it’s “more durable”.
So get a cheap T-fal, be very careful with it, always handwash, never use metal utensils, dispose if damaged at all, and only use for eggs.
Lastly, If you can’t use a nonstick pan carefully every time, just don’t use nonstick at all.

99·2 years agoNonstick pan for eggs. Get the cheapest. Only use for eggs. Replace if coating damaged.
Does not apply to any other cooking ware tho
I don’t have anything to directly compare against, but it seems fine to me! Then again, I bought this for productivity (not photos).
