I should really visit France sometime. Sounds fantastic.

Oh, for sure. It’d have been useful information to communicate!
But telling kids to wear two condoms is insane even by American South standards.

I didn’t go to a “religious school,” but I did attend public high school in Texas.
Our health teacher was a coach, and he went over sex education. One day he said that condoms don’t eliminate risk from STDs, they just reduce it by about half. Even wearing two condoms doesn’t really eliminate the risk, it just reduces it by another 50%, so you’ve still got a 25% chance of getting something.
I was a pretty naïve kid, but even I knew that was fucking stupid.
My dad became a Christian Nationalist, but he loved Jim Croce when I was growing up.
He really liked the song Which Way Are You Going, but true to the song he’s got “one hand on the Bible, one hand on the gun.” It could have been written about him, but he still thinks he’s the pinnacle of righteousness.

I’ve been a bit obsessed with one of Cleopatra’s arias from Handel’s Giulio Cesare, Se pietà di me non senti. She’s bummed that she thinks her brother is going to have her killed.
Se pietà di me non senti giusto ciel io morirò.
Tu da’ pace a’ miei tormenti o quest’alma spirerò.
Just heaven, if you feel no pity for me, I shall die.
I shall give up the ghost if you do not pacify my torment

“I told you… (deep breath) they all need to have BENCH SEATS in the REAR! WHAT the FUCK do I PAY YOU PEOPLE FOR??? Don’t you KNOW who I AM???”

The US has had a reactionary streak since its inception.
The country was founded on stolen land by slavers and oligarchs. The southern States launched a rebellion because they were concerned about losing their human chattel, then after losing maintained a 150 year terror campaign against those whom they deemed “lesser.” The oligarchs have been consolidating power the entire time (with a few brief hiccups). There was a large and explicitly fascist America First movement that grew throughout the 20th century while Congress and the FBI aggressively persecuted leftist leaders.
The US is a very reactionary country with historically good PR.

I don’t see why you should put your face in his video if he isn’t sharing the money. It sounds like he wants free labor to me.

I’m going over to hang out with my sister, we’re ordering Indian food.

I went to a trade school to be an automotive tech, and they had a job fair near the end of the program where all of the local dealerships came out to give out information and set up interviews.
I came out of the program with an entry level hourly position as a technician at the BMW dealership and worked with a master tech until I was ready to start flagging hours.
Speaking as someone from the USA, so there’s probably a bit of a cultural difference, but I’d say it’s the most likely way to secure a decent job in the industry. Otherwise, you could likely get a job busting down tires and doing oil changes at a local shop. You’ll be getting experience that way, but what you learn will be very dependent on the individual shop. It’s a much cheaper alternative, though (at least in the US).
Get out into nature. Take frequent walks.
Be social, even if you don’t want to in the moment.
Have a goal to work towards that doesn’t have anything to do with employment (learn to draw, or play piano, or cook).
Be patient with yourself and others. It’s rough out there.

It used to be that they’d put baseball games on broadcast TV.
Now you basically need a subscription to watch the team in my area. It’s like they don’t want anyone to see the games.

Thermal mask against FPV drones.
And a cool sword, that’d be sick.

I’d say the Coen brothers are the most consistently good filmmakers.
There’s absolute bangers like Fargo and True Grit. Even their lesser known ones like The Ladykillers and Hail Caesar are worth a watch.
There’s O Brother Where Art Thou, and Barton Fink, which are their most underrated in my opinion.
I don’t think they put out a single stinker, and most are A or A+.

Irish and Caribbean. The accents sound musical.

I cut down construction paper to use as the front and back covers (I usually print a front cover, but the back is black), then use a sheet of transparency film on each side to protect the whole thing and give it a more finished look.
Edit: example

A comb binder for bookmaking.
I print off a lot of RPG books and music that would otherwise cost a fortune. Now it’s basically the cost of toner and paper.
I like having an e-reader for most stuff, but some things are just better as physical objects that can be marked up and tabbed.
I’m slowly moving my collection over to Songbook Pro. It isn’t perfect, but you can search ultimateguitar’s tabs and save them locally.
It’s incredible how quickly it loads a page of text (when comparing to UG’s pathetically terrible app experience). And I’ve never had it CTD because I dared to open a saved song.
