A very very very heartily disagree. Their entire business model now is selling that information, they aren’t going to get rid of it EVER.

I can tell you that my community block list is about 5,000 times longer than it was on Reddit because of all the weirdo shit here.
Regretfully the good content doesn’t seem to have migrated here either
what? oh wow, that is so weird. I’m sorry. I was browsing by Top 6 hour, guess there was a glitch.
How often are we going to see this postage? I think this is the third time I’ve seen it at least
A “simple goodge search” is not the same thing as some shit snopes article that i can tell isn’t right, from direct life experience. IDGAF what snopes says. its a real thing, and its stupidly easy to find. I’m not telling you how to google, even though you clearly suck at it.
You’re fun at parties huh
and you get to fuck over a bar owner who is a piece of shit so there is that
AA sourced sobriety coins cost a LOT trust me. You dont ever want to have to find out. Not that they charge you for the coins (they do not), but whatever landed you in there likely cost you more than some online coins would, is my point.
Agreed. I wrote them a complaint about it years ago. sucks to hear its still an issue.
You can probably just buy the coins online lmao
It’s very common, Google it for your location
A lot of bars will give you free drinks if you give them your sobriety coin from AA.
Happened to me when I quit drinking. It was so engaging. Suddenly every other ad online is for hard liquor, too drastic to have been a lot of coincidences lining up.
It’s less Google fault directly, more that finding sobriety terms is part of the alcohol manufacturers SEO/ad words strategy. Which is absolutely disgusting.
I hope your intervention goes well, it wouldn’t have worked well on me for sure so I hope your friend has more grace than I did when I was drinking.
Yes, if you can find a lawyer willing to classify this as “substantial risk of illness”
Can confirm. Also smoke gives me heartburn. So that’s fun.
Technically there’s no authority to determine if you ever did “opt in”, so that is a moot point. I get spam all the time claiming I opted in, when I know I’ve not. Nothing in an email is a guarantee, to include statements that you wanted this email or agreed to be contacted.
Death sounds easier
Ok well let me provide some contrast please.
I live in north Seattle area, but I’m originally from upstate NY. I went back yo NY this year for family, when things there were unusually smokey for once.
IT WAS WAY WORSE THAT IVE EVER SEEN IT IN NORTH SEATTLE, EVEN THOUGH THE AQI FIGURED WERE LOWER. Add to that, people don’t know the most basic things about coping woth smoke there, like making box fan + furnace filters.
So yeah they complained a lot because it was truly very very bad. I sincerely hope we don’t have to deal with that becuase in the 12 years I’ve been in PNW, it’s NEVER been close to as bad as NY earlier this year.
Yep, you definitely came from reddit haha
