You’re only ever going to find matches for this in places that lack suffering, leftists in struggle never compromise in for stability, struggling inclusivity movements never isolate people, religions under antisemitism never enforce their beliefs, countries in crisis never infight over identity, competitors in dying or new activity never indulge or tolerate unfairness
Struggle is what kills wokeness, it brings people back to the roots of their beliefs, i think there’s nothing more pure than niche communities because they stand behind the principles that brought them all there 10 times out of 10 or they end up dissolving
There’s no woke groups, there’s only woke individuals in groups
Woke individual leftists that vote fascists into power due to believing electoralism can never fail making their actions valid, going against empowering the people principles leftists stand for
Woke individual LGBTQ members that scrutinize any work not favoring their agenda with belief it’s done to normalize it making their actions valid, going against principles of inclusivity the movements stands for
Woke individual religious members that advocate for enforcing their beliefs and traditions on others or turning blind eye to violence from their members with the idea that spreading the belief is the right thing, going against the aspect of free will and choice advocated by the religions
Woke individual nationalists that target minorities in their own country as not fitting the right identity or image the country stands for for the sake of establishing unity, going against national pride with all it’s diversity of culture that “nationalism” stands for(i have to put this one in quotes as the word’s meaning has been completely ruined from this by now)
Woke individual competitors that in pursuit of being the best at an activity decide to result to cheating or sabotaging other competitors for the sake of breaking records and making the competitive scene more competitive, going against the fairness principles that those activities and competitors in it stood for
This is how i see the word woke, nothing to do with any group, any title, any identity, i see it as individuals who violate the principles they claim to stand for, and it always gets done with the belief it’s right, the “woke” in my definition are people i have to actively disassociate from their identities no matter how hard they try to make the two inseparable
People joining movements without shred of struggle to support them and after they had already succeeded
For me woke people are privileged loud members of communities that are missing basic principles those communities stand for, and you can find them absolutely everywhere in every grouping ever, nationality based grouping, religious based grouping, ideology based grouping, i see all those as “woke” in my view

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do you think that Trump is being blackmailed?
2·2 months agoIt depends how you use the word, i see it as people being forced to do something they don’t want to do, you don’t say “I blackmailed you into buying a better product”, in same way i don’t say “Trump was blackmailed to be corrupt and make a fortune out of market manipulation”

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why are we so afraid of cockroaches?
4·2 months agoThe fast movement and lack of sight is what’s scary about them, snakes tarantulas will move away from you and do it slowly, cockroach will run in any direction at full speed when startled unless you explicitly startle them with large thud near them, otherwise they might dash full speed towards you
Also social upbringing making them out to be some great threat and fact we’re way more common to see them than the other actually dangerous creatures

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What do you think happens if I stop using AI for a month?
1·2 months agoIf you’ve been using AI for a while now you’ll have grown to depend on their convenience, effectiveness aside, the time saved on simple tasks makes them very appealing to just rely on
Once you stop using them you’ll notice how much time and effort goes into those simple tasks, even just writing a post and finding information on a subject takes minutes, you’ll notice it immediately and you’ll get withdrawal because of the friction in manual work
So keep in mind that you’re doing this to regain back agency over your life be it in information you gather or work you create and fight temptation to pick the easy way that chains you with dependency

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•I'm gonna ask the simplest complex question ever. What is happiness, to you?
2·2 months agoHappiness to me is having a meaning to my life, i couldn’t find a point to living for myself that was logical so i just gave up living for it and decided the only reason to live is to be morally good
So now happiness is being a good person, every now and then i’d get unexplainably sad or angry if i’m too happy for self interest reasons because life lost meaning for a moment

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What do you think happens if I stop using AI for a month?
21·2 months agoYou’ll get withdrawal symptoms probably so fight the temptation to use it!
Yes eventually, the only way it won’t be is if it’s physically impossible to replicate a human brain, i don’t believe that’a the case
Fuck AI nonetheless, it needs regulation not hope
