Perceived omnipotence through excessive wealth, obsequious entourage of devoted followers eager for some reflected limelight, depthless entitlement from generations of a better than thou attitude.
The moat of excessive resources and power can isolate the humanity from the human.
The power and associated external adulation/validation by other elites is probably addictive as well, creating a toxic feedback loop.
So, I guess you could say, with increasing resources and power comes the temptation and easier ability to stop giving a crap about other people due to a perceived sense of infallibility and invincibility.
Perhaps when one gets to that level of orgabized crime and corruption, it becomes impossible to escape because you know too much about too many, so your only option is to continue along the same path (edit: or be killed by your associates as a liability to their guilt).

In which video or other engagement did he do that? And defended it from what? I’ve seen a few of his voting and representation videos and I thought those were good.

This sums it up nicely: https://youtube.com/shorts/hQN98kIwgAk

GoldSRC HL? Love those gibs.

Loved D2. Came back to it after decades of being away. Got really confused by things like runes and the reclassifcation of cast rate for items as a percentage. I missed snickering every time I’d encounter an item with “fastest cast rate”

You can play Garrys Mod? I thought it was mostly just a sandbox for building things or making machinima videos. I have it but have opened it maybe twice…not much time for gaming these days and Black Mesa and Outer Wilds have been consuming all my stolen gaming time.

Such a good soundtrack on the CD

Loved that joystick, especially with A-10 Cuba!

“It’s got a lock on me! It’s got a lock on m-” BOOM

MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat (1995)

Activate the magnetron!

So, describe the ‘american behavior’ you’ve observed so we can all bask in the glory of the depravity you’ve seen and endured. This post seems intended as a place to vent for everyone’s entertainment. I found little to no entertainment value in reading ‘Americans’ as a comment and I have a hard time empathizing with your grievance beyond an assumption you resent how generically fat, ignorant, pushy, entitled, and rude some of them stereotypically may be. Provide some juicy details, Johannes!

I think the implicit assumption is if they didn’t take the offer (“easy way”), they’d then get the “hard way,” in which the US receives the same end result, but no one in Greenland gets the million. It churns the bile in my guts that anyone on earth is even having this discussion with a modicum of seriousness. Greenland is for Greenlanders.

Yeah, they definitely don’t come off as apolitical monks seeking enlightenment. Maybe Yoda…
Certainly arrogant and a little too aware and appreciative of their own power and what it could get them.
Source: Outside of ESB and Rogue One, I’m not much of a Star Wars fan.

Blame Satan.
Sounds like the J-pouch is also working out well, thank goodness. I’m sorry you went through that. Makes my own recent ordeal look like easy street in comparison.
