4·9 months agoThat is not what rule 3 means, and you are being hostile for no reason.

2·10 months agoFair enough, even if that’s not really YSK’s purpose. Thank you for not immediately jumping to hostility like the other three responders.

2·10 months agoI have no idea how you arrived at that conclusion. Do you think I’m saying I oppose Kostyuchenko’s work?
YSK is for useful information, not random facts prefixed with “YSK that”.

21·10 months agoWhere’d you get that from? Fuck Trump, and fuck Putin too. I don’t oppose at all what this lady is doing, this kind of post is just not what YSK is for.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that Boris Johnson was one of the most corrupt Prime Minister in British history 🇬🇧 . Always broke, he often said "I just can’t afford to do this job". He wanted rich businessmen to help him.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why are people using the "þ" character?
16·1 year agoExcept the person OP is referring to has explicitly stated, in a comment on this very post, that it’s about AI for them.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Should Lemmy (or a user) consider potentially adding a profanity counter bot similar to Reddit's u/profanitycounter?
20·1 year agoRather not. One of the worst things about Reddit comments was the bot clutter.
Everyone has their own idea for a bot that’s interesting or funny or whatever, and maybe some of them are, but in the end there are just too many. You’d have a bot that corrects spelling errors, a bot to call that one pedantic, and a bunch of people voting “bad bot” on both, and before you know it half of the comments are just noise that didn’t need to be there.

Unsolicited bot comments.
One to correct a minor grammar mistake, a second to call the first pedantic, and a bunch of good bot/bad bot replies to both, and now half the comment section is noise.
They’re rarely funny or interesting past the first time you encounter them, and their creators never willing to acknowledge that they’ve unleashed a pest.
