The only private key with docusign is the fact you has access to the email inbox. And it’s not even a private key, just a symmetric key in the link of the email. They might do some basic user agent and IP checks for suspicious activity, but if someone you know has access to your email DocuSign wouldn’t know the difference

All news was behind a paywall at one point. If you did not pay for a newspaper, you did not get the news. No matter how important, the news was paywalled. We have the FDA for plain old recall announcements. If you want the news story behind the recall, a journalist has to research and write an article, which isn’t free. It’s also under attack by a certain orange man and his goons, so they need all the support they can get.

I am an American who cares about privacy largely because of Snowden. His book was very eye opening, and a great read. So that’s at least 1 person

This is an online forum. Most of these comments are sent from the toilet. If we wanted perfect sentences, we’d use AI to rewrite our thoughts. I’d rather clunky imperfect writing that doesn’t flow well than have something even partially, let alone entirely, written by AI. That’s not so say all well written text is AI, but imperfections are human

None of that is because of middle managers. No matter what, someone will need to job of coordinating with various departments, prioritizing tasks, selling ideas, motivating, and overall being good at coordinating. Idk if I’ve personally met a manager good at those things, but I know I would be worse at it.

There is nothing to suggest this. Some people may interpret it this way, many will not. It’s absurd to say why someone would be downvoting, or how the other would interpret it, when this thread alone has like 5 other examples of what a downvote means. The only thing that can be definitively stated is that downvoting will moving the comment/post further down in the default listing.

Lemmy uses a voting system to sort post listings. On the left side of each post there are up and down arrows, which let you upvote or downvote it. You can upvote posts that you like so that more users will see them, or downvote posts so that they are less likely to be seen. Each post receives a score which is the number of upvotes minus the number of downvotes.

Up and down votes, no matter what their “intention” is, will have a different meaning for each person that uses them. There is no way to create a universal use for something so arbitrary. Someone will down vote, and the person downvoted will never know why (unless there is a comment of course). That is the nature of the feature. It’s not a flaw or a bug, it’s human. I know lemmy has a lot of tech nerds that are very logical (myself included) but we are still human

I automate things that take 5 seconds to do. Why would I want to spend more time looking for reasonable, thoughtful, or funny posts. The system isn’t perfect, but I think it’s better than nothing
