Absolute wild guess that it’s Wales. Mostly based on how there is an expectation it’s not well known as a country and vibes on physical appearance.
My favorite whelsh pronunciation:

Like if your vegan anarchist grandma and vegan anarchist dad were the same person.
I am an engineer (closer to toot toot then clicky clacky) cosplaying as a farmer in unceded aninstanabe territory in eastern ontario.
Pronouns: she/they
Maybe the real vegan theory club were the friends we made along the way ✨

I apologize about my assumption.

Sure, there is no doubt they are tightly integrated. But this person thought we didn’t have any banks that were not US companies, or means of transferring money between people in canada without using US infrastructure. I asked, because I was so confused about what they were implying.

Someone from the states told me that canada needs its own banking system urgently because of trump tarrifs. Comrade, we were able to pay at stores directly from our bank accounts decades before you could (i.e., it was instant, no pending debit transactions).

(I love the Two Point series of games, and the LEGO Star Wars games but many see them as childish or too easy).
I’m not trying to diminish your experience and mean with with care and empathy: play the games you like. Life too short to worry about demonstrating your bona fides.

These issues sound like not being familiar with mechanics common to a certain type of game. I have horrific ADHD and I spend an embarrassing amount of time playing video games, but I hate some of the things and genres you mention, so I wouldn’t have had a great time either.
The primary deficits I have are with working memory and executive function. Platformers are a fucking nightmare if you don’t have working memory. The executive function challenge makes games with rigid tactics and paths not very fun. I hate controllers, it’s unintuitive. That might just be because I’ve been gaming on a PC for nearly 30 years 🫣
What kinds of games do I like? Going off my Steam play time: the fallout games, for some reason I really liked TF2 but probably because it is silly and my friends were playing it so would play together. Satisfactory, Cities Skylines, Transport Fever, Tropico, Dawn of War, supermarket simulator (lol). I’ve been playing Roller Coaster Tycoon on my phone lately (DID YOU KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT? ITS THE FUTURE!)
So games with many paths and not a constant sense of urgency. Games are escapism for me.
My spouse who also has ADHD is very comfortable with a controller and loves games where he has to figure out the “trick” behind beating bosses. He loves rouge - like games and gets obsessive with dark souls and that whole genre. He just finished the latest Control. He loves to experience mechanics and level design and appreciates and analyzes games as art. He doesn’t mind putting in effort to get that payoff, whereas I want a break from effort and the chance to explore at my own pace.

Okay, my bad. I take safety as meaning overall health outcomes not just acute sickness.
I do think it’s useful to consider that fecal contamination of produce is often associated with poor management of waste from the industrial slaughter industry.

Eating less meat is good for the planet and your health, even if the meat is not contaminated.

The recall is about a specific company that falsified inspection labels.

I wish 167,000 lbs was a significant quantity of meat.
The US creates almost 300 million lbs of dead animal per day.
(Calculated from this: https://ers.usda.gov/sites/default/files/_laserfiche/outlooks/113594/LDP-M-378.pdf?v=55361)

Sure. I don’t think it’s in anyone’s interest allow critical infrastructure to crumble while giving tax cuts to corporations but I don’t know everything.

It’s not just me though, I should have been more clear. It’s foundational to certain anti capitalist theory, and important when organizing around that roadblock. It’s also useful in understanding why the trans Atlantic slave trade wasn’t as universally viewed with distain.
Black Reconstruction in America by W.E.B. Du Bois is a good text, as is Settlers.
I’m not saying it’s straight up fact because I can’t know the inner working of everyone’s mind, and it certainly isn’t a conscious decision they make. It fits with what I see in my area and has been helpful in organizing here.

That’s not quite what people mean when they say that, at least not what I mean when I talk about this concept.
Having a favored position (i.e. having the dominant culture being white conservative christian culture) is what buys the obedience of these individuals within capitalism.
They are still voting against their interests (protecting capitalism) and more importantly are rejecting class consciousness, with the promise that they will be treated better than the out groups.

Whenever I can’t figure out why the USA is doing violence somewhere far away from home, the answer is usually manifest destiny. It didn’t end on the continent.
If you believe that that it is god’s will that you assert your will, it’s easy to blame the enemy for not just handing over what you want from them.
(Imperialism isn’t unique to the USA, but I think their history allows the government to face less opposition then they might face in other countries. Even if it’s just getting mad it’s not a polite person dropping the bombs. )

There has been a general move away from harm reduction practices in conservative areas. The province of ontario mandated that all supervised consumption sites close and are instead prioritizing rehab and supportive services which do not tolerate substance use.
Despite a massive toxic drug supply problem, testing is not prioritized. All construction sites in ontario need naloxone on site, but no drug testing kits?
Public health is not the driver of these decisions.

Oh, okay. The automatic response I was referring to was the start of every French class from grades 1-8, the class answering in unison.
“Bonjour les enfants!”
“Bonjour Mme. X”
“Comment ça va?”
“Ça va bien, et vous?”
“Oui, ça va bien aussi!”

You used toi with your French teacher??? Ostie les enfants sont vraiment sauvage!
I guess a lot of people were, lol: https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/article/vous-or-tu-quebec-launches-new-civility-policy-in-schools/

but they find it necessary when going to southeast Asia
I think this really is key. The US committed atrocities here within living memory.

“Ça va bien, et voooooouuuuuussssss”
You can’t go around triggering automatic responses like that lol
The biochar part is a detail, all the other pieces need to be in place to optimize the benefit.
Carbon capture comes from planting more trees and not just leaving them there, but cutting them down when their growth rate slows and planting new ones.
Creating the bio char is a byproduct of using the plant mass to heat water for the district heating system, which is an extremely efficient method of heating homes and businesses.
Biochar as a byproduct, in contrast to landfill or burning in an oxygen rich environment comes from a method where carbon release is minimized. In landfills, it’s methane. In fire, it’s carbon dioxide.
You can advocate for local solutions! The magic here is that they found a mix that works well for local conditions. Your city or town may already be looking at things like this. If they publish a master plan or other planning documents they may include things on energy, waste, climate change, etc. They usually aren’t too detailed, but can point you to other things to look at.
